This clock features a Dark Coffee Oak finish on select hardwoods and veneers. One of the unique characteristics of this clock is the wooden dial suspended from a metal frame finished in aged charcoal. The wooden body and metal frame sit on top of a wood base with an aged charcoal finished metal top plate. This clock also includes an aged charcoal finished pendulum with a rectangular bob with a wood grain insert finished in Dark Coffee Oak. For extra safety, floor glides were added to provide stability and protection on non-carpeted surfaces.
The dial features aged, charcoal-finished, wrought-iron Roman numerals and bar hour markers suspended in front of a machined steel background. Aged charcoal finished hour and minute hands complete the look.
The dial and pendulum are illuminated by two LED spotlights to view the clock in a darkened room. A touch dimmer pad is located on the bottom side of the head assembly, allowing for four light levels: low, medium, high, and off. A power adapter that plugs into the base powers the LED lights.
This floor clock has a battery-powered quartz movement which requires one AA battery and two C-sized batteries (not included).
Founded in 1926 and still family-owned in its third generation, Howard Miller is the world’s leading clock company and a respected brand name in fine specialty furnishings such as curio cabinets, wine & bar furnishings, custom storage cabinets, and SmartMoves® adjustable height desks.
We offer hundreds of items to complement any decor ranging from portable alarm clocks to desk sets to wall and mantel clocks to collectors cabinets to limited edition grandfather clocks. And in price ranges that may surprise you - from $5 to $15,000. No matter the price of the purchase, you have the same assurance that Howard C. Miller provided when he began offering clocks more than 70 years ago: That quality be reflected both in the products we create, and in the people whose artistic talents we rely on to manufacture them.
Incomparable workmanship. Unsurpassed quality. A quest for perfection. It’s what Howard C. Miller insisted on when he founded the company back in 1926, at the age of 21. During World War II, Howard Miller joined forces with the Ford Motor Co. to produce anti-aircraft covers. In the 1960s, the company turned its attention to grandfather clocks, eventually earning the company the title of "World's Largest Grandfather Clock Manufacturer." In 1989, Howard Miller began creating collectors cabinets with the same attention to detail and craftsmanship inherent in their clockmaking. Fashioned from glass and hardwoods, the cabinets are ideal for displaying heirlooms, plates, glassware and other collectibles.
